When We Began
MezzStor was established in 2016 by two friends (Pat & Richard) to provide a specialist mezzanine floor storage & space solution business in Western Australia.
From our first job of repairing a damaged access gate and ceiling truss at a shopping centre through to manufacturing platforms for mine sites and mezzanines across a
spectrum of industrial, commercial & retail operations MezzStor brings a full spectrum of capability to our Mezzanine Solutions
With over 30 years’ experience within construction, manufacturing and site-installation we have developed a range of systems and solutions to meet your every need all delivered from our own manufacturing workshop in Balcatta.
Where We Came From
Pat & Richard first worked together over 10 years ago managing a large steel fabrication company undertaking large mine site and commercial steel fabrication packages.
Since that time they have formed a unique working relationship that takes advantage of the synergies between their very different but complimentary backgrounds that allows MezzStor to deliver outstanding solutions.
Family time is a key balance for both Pat & Richard with both having sons also involved with the business and driving their passion for maintaining local manufacturing.
MezzStor also see investment into Western Australia as key to the future and are part of the Apprenticeship Program and also have Workplace Learning Students from local High Schools
Who we are
Pat van Brakel
Operations Manager
Pat is a qualified Boiler Maker, coded Welder & Rigger and has developed an extensive knowledge of steel fabrication and associated items with significant time in both fabricating and site installation management roles.
Pat is hands on at MezzStor managing and involved in all our manufacturing and site operations and brings blended experience to our solutions through understanding how things need installing allowing them to be manufactured accordingly
Outside of MezzStor Pat is a passionate Motorsport enthusiast actively participating in Late Model Speedway and Classic Car racing and heads the support crew of Paul Stubber racing as well as throwing in his hand at driving whenever opportunity presents itself.
Richard Scott
Sales Manager
Richard started his career in construction sales, quickly moving into estimating, supervision and management roles. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma in Quality Auditing (Dip.QA) which compliments his General Management experience.
Richard oversees all sales, estimating and business operations for MezzStor. His passion is understanding a clients vision and turning that into a first class solution that delivers everything our clients need.
During those few moments of spare time Richard is a Board Member of Paua Rose Netball Club where his daughter is a junior athlete and he is actively involved in coaching and managing teams.
